Zhenwei Ren is currently an Associate Professor at the School of Optoelectronic Science and Engineering, Soochow University, a position he has held since September 2021. He previously completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Hong Kong from 2018 to 2021. Dr. Ren received his Ph.D. from the School of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering at East China University of Science and Technology in 2018, with joint training at the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences from 2016 to 2018. His research focuses on the design, physics, and mechanisms of organic/inorganic optoelectronic devices and hybrid systems at the nanoscale. He explores the multi-physical properties (optical, electrical, and thermal) of these systems for applications in devices like light-emitting diodes, solar cells, and photodetectors. He has contributed to numerous high-impact publications and serves as a guest editor for the journals Nanomaterials and Micromachines.
