Xiexin Hu is a student at Yangzhou University, majoring in Biology and Technology, with a keen interest in honey bee research. She has published a first-author paper titled “Impact of Atrazine on Sucrose Sensitivity in Honey Bees” in the journal Insects (IF=2.7, JCR Q1). Xiexin is also the inventor of a combined device for capturing, feeding, and storing experimental honeybees, which was accepted for a patent in China in May 2024. Additionally, she is involved in a research project investigating the mechanism of peritrophic membrane damage in the midgut of honeybees induced by atrazine, with plans for publication in August 2024.
