Dr. Faryal Idrees is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at the University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan. She earned her Ph.D. in Materials Physics and Chemistry from Beijing Institute of Technology (2011–2015), where she also received Excellent and Outstanding Student Awards. Dr. Idrees holds an M.Phil. in High Energy Physics from the University of the Punjab, Lahore, achieving a CGPA of 4.0 and ranking 4th in her class. She completed her B.Sc. (Hons.) in Computational Physics at the same university. Her professional experience includes serving as a Post-Doctoral Researcher at the Institut für Technische Chemie, Leibniz Universität Hannover, Germany (2017–2019), under an Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship. Since 2019, she has been an Assistant Professor at the University of the Punjab, where she has published 62 papers in SCI-indexed journals and four book chapters, with a total impact factor exceeding 340.
