Mr. Santiago Loza Morcillo is a highly motivated researcher in the field of telecommunications engineering whose academic journey and professional development reflect a strong commitment to advancing communication and sensing technologies with applications in defense, aerospace, and next-generation wireless networks; after completing his Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Technology and Services Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Madrid, he continued his academic progression with a Master’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering at the Higher Technical School of Telecommunications Engineering, consolidating a strong foundation in communication systems, signal processing, and wireless technologies, and he is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Communications Technologies and Systems at the same university, where his doctoral research focuses on innovative approaches for large-scale antenna arrays and advanced sensing mechanisms; his professional experience has been enriched through his role at the Polytechnic University of Madrid within the Department of Signals, Systems and Radiocommunications, where he has contributed significantly as a full-time researcher involved in high-level international collaborations, particularly the NGWS/FCAS project funded by Indra, which is oriented toward the development of advanced defense systems and future combat air solutions, thereby placing him at the intersection of academic research and real-world industrial applications; in terms of research interests
