Assoc Prof Dr. Veli İlçi, Ondokuz Mayis University, Turkey
Associate Professor Veli İlçi is an esteemed academic and researcher in the field of Geotechnical Engineering, specializing in measuring techniques and remote sensing. He is currently affiliated with Ondokuz Mayis University, where he has been serving in the Engineering Faculty’s Department of Geomatics since 2020. Prior to this, he held various academic positions at Hitit University from 2012 to 2020, including lecturer and associate professor roles in the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning at the Technical Sciences Vocational School.Prof. İlçi completed his doctoral studies at Yildiz Technical University in 2017, where he focused on a novel method for indoor positioning based on distance measurement and accuracy analysis. He holds a postgraduate degree in Geodesy and Photogrammetry Engineering from Afyon Kocatepe University (2011-2013) and an undergraduate degree from Istanbul Technical University in the same field (2000-2006). His academic journey is further enriched by his proficiency in English, which he commands at a C1 Advanced level.
