Prof. Dr. Shen-Li Chen earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from National Tsing-Hua University in Taiwan, completing his studies in December 1992. Prior to that, he obtained a Master’s degree in Material Engineering (Electrical Material Group) from National Taiwan University in June 1987. He began his academic journey with a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from National Taiwan Normal University, which he completed in July 1981.

Dr. Chen has a distinguished career in academia and industry, currently serving as the Dean of the College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at National United University since August 2021. He has held numerous leadership roles, including Director of the Taiwan ESD Association from 2022 to 2024 and multiple terms in previous years. His consultancy experience spans several tech companies, including PADAUK Technology Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Huawei Technologies, and AU Optronics Corp. Dr. Chen has also contributed to the academic community as a Joint Appointment Professor in the PhD Program in Materials and Chemical Engineering at National United University from 2014 to 2017 and as an advisory committee member for the National Defense Science and Technology Development Research Center since 2016. His expertise lies in VLSI reliability, power electronics, and IC design, focusing on ESD/EOS protection design, system EMC/EMS testing, and CMOS latchup free design/testing.
