Dr. Amila Jayasinghe, University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka
Dr. Amila Jayasinghe is a distinguished Senior Lecturer Grade II at the Department of Town & Country Planning at the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. A Chartered Town Planner affiliated with the Institute of Town Planners, Sri Lanka (ITPSL), he has an extensive academic and professional background in urban planning and infrastructure development. He earned his Doctor of Engineering in Energy & Environment from Nagaoka University of Technology, Japan, and his Master of Planning in Infrastructure Planning from CEPT University, India, where he topped his class. Dr. Jayasinghe’s career at the University of Moratuwa began in 2008 as a Temporary Instructor and progressed through various academic roles, culminating in his current position. He has been recognized for his contributions through numerous memberships and leadership roles in professional organizations such as the Sri Lanka Society of Transport and Logistics (SLSTL) and the Japanese Graduatesā Alumni Association of Sri Lanka (JAGAAS). Dr. Jayasinghe continues to impact the field of town and country planning through his dedication to teaching, research, and active engagement in professional communities.
