Kevin Edward Oโ€™Shea is a Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Florida International University (FIU) in Miami, FL. He earned his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) under the mentorship of Professor Christopher S. Foote and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Texas, Austin, with Professor Marye Anne Fox. Since joining FIU in 1991, he has held various academic leadership positions, including Interim Dean and Senior Associate Dean of the Graduate School. His research focuses on environmental chemistry, photochemical processes, and the development of nanomaterials for pollutant removal.
