Dr. Makram A. Fakhri is a distinguished professor and researcher in the field of Nano Photonic Crystal Lasers with a strong background in Optoelectronic Engineering. He earned his Ph.D. in Nano Photonic Crystal Laser Engineering from INEE, UniMAP, Malaysia, in 2016, following an M.Sc. in Optoelectronic Engineering (2007) and a B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (2001) from the University of Technology (UOT), Baghdad, Iraq. Dr. Fakhri has held various academic and administrative positions at the University of Technology, Baghdad, including serving as a Lecturer (1994-2017) and currently as a Professor and Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs (since 2020). His research expertise spans nano-photonics, waveguide structures, optical materials, and alternative energy sources, with a significant impact in materials science and laser applications.
