Dr. Tingting Yu is an Associate Professor at the Shien-Ming Wu School of Intelligent Engineering, South China University of Technology. She earned her Ph.D. (Dr. rer. Nat.) in Physical Chemistry from the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems and the University of Stuttgart, Germany, in 2021. She holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the Technical University of Darmstadt, where she also contributed as a research and teaching assistant. Dr. Yu’s research focuses on the fabrication of 3D nano-functional structures through techniques such as nanoparticle synthesis and glancing angle deposition, with wide-ranging applications in micro/nano fabrication, robotics, and nanomachinery. She has been awarded several prestigious research grants, including as Principal Investigator for projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Guangdong Regional Joint Youth Foundation.
