Ms. Ivett-Greta Zsak is a highly accomplished Romanian architect, lecturer, and PhD candidate whose professional journey demonstrates a strong commitment to sustainable architecture, heritage preservation, and community-focused design. Having pursued her Diploma in Architecture at the University of Oradea under the examination board of UAUIM (Ion Mincu University of Architecture and Urbanism, Bucharest), she continued to advance her academic path as a PhD candidate at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, School of Civil Engineering and Installation, where she has been deeply engaged in research that bridges sustainable housing, adaptive architecture, and cultural heritage preservation. Her professional experience includes her role as an expert in Living Lab 10 (EU GREEN – European University Alliance for Sustainability) at the University of Oradea, administrator and architect at Zero Positive Architecture SRL, and associate lecturer at the University of Oradea, where she contributes to educating future architects with both theoretical and practical knowledge. Previously, she has worked at Pescaru Adrian Horațiu Individual Architecture Office and taught at Oradea Arts High School, specializing in design and architecture, experiences that have collectively broadened her perspective and honed her skills in integrating creativity with sustainability. Her research interests include the development of frameworks like the Building Identity Passport for prefabricated housing rehabilitation, regeneration of industrial heritage, adaptive reuse of architectural spaces, participatory design, and the application of Building Information Modeling (BIM) in sustainable and resilient construction. Ms. Ivett-Greta Zsak research skills encompass advanced proficiency in BIM (Autodesk Revit), AutoCAD, MS Office, Corel Draw, and participatory design methodologies, allowing her to combine technical expertise with innovative architectural solutions. She has published in reputed journals such as Sustainability (MDPI) and has contributed to national architecture guidelines in Romania, in addition to presenting her research at international conferences as a keynote speaker on cultural heritage and sustainable housing.
