Mr. Girma Gilano Kaso, a dedicated and multidisciplinary scholar, currently serves as an Assistant Professor and Ph.D. candidate at Maastricht University, Netherlands, where his doctoral research focuses on “The Effect of mHealth on Exclusive Breastfeeding and Its Associated Factors Among Women in South Ethiopia: A Cluster Randomized Controlled Trial.” He holds a Master of Science in Public Health with a specialization in Health Informatics from the University of Gondar and a Bachelor of Science in Health Science (Clinical Nursing) from Jimma University. Mr. Kaso’s professional journey reflects a strong blend of teaching, research, and clinical practice, having served as an Assistant Professor in a higher education institution and as a Clinical Officer in a medium-sized clinic, contributing to patient care and institutional quality assurance. His leadership roles, such as serving as a Quality Control Officer, have enhanced his expertise in maintaining academic standards and coordinating multidisciplinary research initiatives. His primary research interests include mHealth applications for maternal and child health, epidemiological modeling, health informatics systems, and public health interventions using digital tools in low-resource settings. Mr. Kaso demonstrates extensive research skills in machine learning for health data analysis, statistical modeling, database management, and system design for healthcare applications. His research outputs have been recognized internationally through publications in reputable Scopus and IEEE-indexed journals.
